Hi everyone, my name is Katharina and I’ve been working in the field of Cyber Security for around five years. I joined this community to connect directly with other security professionals and to exchange ideas and experiences. Fun fact: I’m passionate about extreme hiking – I love pushing my limits on hikes over 50 kilometers!
Hi Katharina K. & welcomeee! 🚀 Five years in cybersecurity – that’s impressive! Have those years been across different company sizes or mostly in a similar setup? I’d love to hear whether the challenges you’ve faced varied depending on how mature or big the company was. And wow – chapeau for the extreme hiking! 🥾 That’s serious dedication. What’s been your most intense hike so far?
I have spent my entire Working life at Klosterfrau. And during those years, I have witnessed how the human factor has gradually gained importance from an almost exclusively technical perspective. The challenges have changed repeatedly along the way. However, I think the challenge that has remained constant throughout is keeping cybersecurity exciting for end users. The most intense hike so far was probably the “hike to the moon". At this event, lots of hikers tried to hike as many kilometers as the distance between the Earth and the moon within 24 hours.
Thank you for sharing Katharina K.!

Have you found any formats/ approaches that worked particularly well for that? Also, If you're curious about how other members tackle that challenge, feel free to ask for some insights in 03_best-practices 💪 I've never heard of "Hike to the moon" but it sounds very impressive!! 🌕🚶♀️,
